Well I was surprised enough when I found the free on demand stuff… tv shows, movies, all sorts of stuff that would keep me amused for weeks. Although they’ve probably had all the free on demand stuff there for a while, I never go up that high in the channel list, I never saw it.
So THEN I was flipping channels last night, turned a show on, and it popped up saying ‘press sel to start from beginning’ or something of that sort. It’s pretty cool because hey, I always miss the beginnings of shows, and unless you’re recording or you’re on the channel when it starts, its gone. The only disadvantage is it wont let you fast forward through the commercials. Thats a huuuge downfall for me because I neeeeeeever watch commercials. I’ll wander off during a commercial and forget to come back.
Now with so many choices, I’m never going to do anything! I have a hard enough time concentrating on the tv, this is almost overwhelming for me! I think they really need to work on the guide and the interface in general on the box. I swear it was different in Ohio, so I’m thinking every area has a different system on the boxes, I can’t search for things the way I want to, its SO HORRIBLY SLOW! Oh, and it doesn’t record the same way. I get so frustrated trying to record things on here. Really, they should do something with that before making more fancy crap. There’s enough new stuff on there now… they can take the time to do something else.
